Man R*pes 5-yr-Old Mariam In Parents’ Home

Man R*pes 5-yr-Old Mariam In Parents’ Home – Wednesday, September 10, 2014 was hell for the family of Mr. Idris, a Lagos-based commercial bus driver, as his five year-old girl fell victim of a serial rapist in their neighbourhood.
On that day Mr. Idris and his wife left their home at No 11, Adedoyin Street, Palm Grove area of the metropolis for their respective work, as they always did every day, leaving behind at home their three kids (two boys and a girl).
The neighboirhood is home to miscreants of varying backgrounds and unidentified means of livelihood. By the nature of their work, both parents do not return home earlier than 8:00p.m while the three kids were always left at the mercy of neighbours and other residents.
On that fateful day, just before dark, the two boys of the family were reportedly playing with their peers in the neighbouring houses while Mariam, the only female child of the family, remained in their family apartment.
Apparently realising that the little girl was all alone in their family apartment, one of the miscreants, identified as Michael, popularly called Iku (death), reportedly sneaked into Mr. Idris’ apartment where he allegedly forcefully had canal knowledge of the young Mariam.
Mariam’s father, in a telephone chat with newsmen claimed that though the young girl had been frightened into wanting to keep sealed lips over her gruesome experience by Michael, her changed attitude that day towards him sent jitters down his spine.
Mr. Idris began his story thus: “I came home that day earlier than my wife and asked the three kids whether they had had their dinner. The two boys told me that they had not, but quite unlike Mariam, she did not come to meet me when they all learnt that I was back from work.
Usually, she was the one that would run to me to welcome me home.” The girl’s father narrated how he was puzzled by his daughter’s indifference to his arrival home from work and walked up to her.
He continued, “While I rushed to the kitchen to prepare dinner for them, I also became worried about Mariam’s silence and I asked her what was wrong. She pointed towards her private part and said ‘this place is paining me.”
The girl’s father also narrated how, upon examination of the girl’s private part, with Mariam’s mother, who by then had returned from the market, they discovered semen and blood all over. He raised the alarm over their discovery and he pleaded with Mariam to go show them the man that so violated her.
“Mariam led us to where about 10 miscreants were seated close to our house and pointed at the man. When he was accosted, he told us that it was true he came to our apartment but that he only played ball with Mariam when he realised that there was no one at home.” Law enforcement agents at Pedro Police Station were promptly alerted of the development who later came to arrest the suspect.
He is being detained at the station as at press time. News sources rumoured that Michael had been a habitual rapist who had been involved in the ignoble act before now. He was said to have raped a mentally-retarded woman in the neighbourhood some time in the past.
The bemused Mr. Idris told reporters that Mariam was quickly rushed to the hospital where some first aid treatments and tests were conducted on her, while doctors also told them that an HIV test would be conducted on her.
He concluded his discussion on the issues thus, “It is unfortunate that this is happening to my family because we had always raised the alarm over how these miscreants gather here without any known work they are doing every day.
I hope with this action, our government would find a lasting solution to the menace of Area Boys in this area.” Mariam’s mother could not talk to press understandably because she was too distraught to utter a word. But a policeman at the Pedro Police Station who preferred to remain anonymity, confirm the arrest of the suspect and maintained that investigations into the crime are ongoing.
What a wicked heart, the young man has.
